Project Manager, Web Designer, and Social Media Manager: Joselyn Luna
Hi, my name is Joselyn Luna and I am a seventeen year old who goes to West Adams Preparatory High School. I joined the GBLA team because I wanted to make a difference in our community. Being so young and having the chance to make a difference is something everyone should take advantage of. Being a part of a generation that is very open to many things is something I am truly grateful for being born in; if I were from any past generation I know I wouldn't have had the chance to be in such a great program such as Girls Build LA because women weren't seen with the same value men were seen in. This generation is the reason for me believing in the things I do now, it is the reason I stand up to people who want to be sexist, racist, etc... and having programs like GBLA will only make future generations so much greater than mine.

Hello, my name is Kelly Tomas and I am a senior at West Adams Preparatory High School. I decided to join the GBLA team because I want to make my community a better place. Being involved in my community is important because I want to inspire the youth to get involved to make this world a better place!

Hello, my name is Kally Yanes and I am a junior at West Adams Preparatory High School. I chose to be apart of the GBLA team to help change our community for the better. Being a teen in our generation gives me a great insight on how much one kind gesture can go a long way and I believe GBLA is a great outlet for that.

Hi! Im Dianne Hernandez. I am a part of the West Adams Preparatory High School GBLA team, I joined the team because for so long I have wanted to get involved in helping our community and never found a way to until I joined the group. I have always been a strong believer in not letting the world affect you but in finding ways that you can affect the world and GBLA is giving me that amazing opportunity.

Hi! My name is Adriana Argueta and I am a senior at West Adams Preparatory High School. I am an ambitious Guatemalan female working hard towards being a college bound student in a few months. Being part of GBLA is one of the most incredible things because I have the opportunity to help my community and make a better place for future generations.

Hello, my name is Violeta Hernandez-Tomas and I'm a junior at West Adams Preparatory High School. I was recently asked by the GSA Network “what are you doing to improve your community?” and to be frank nothing that I was doing stood out. I work with LGBT+ youth for racial and gender justice with that said I want to contribute in other ways as well. Now I'm joining the GBLA team as a way to further help and impact my community.
